‘No Lessons Have Been Learned.’ Why Trillion-Dollar Coronavirus Bailout Benefited the Rich

Unlike the 2008 bailout packages, which funneled hundreds of billions to Wall Street and padded executives already-cushy pay packages, the CARES Act was shot through with provisions that lawmakers said would ensure that federal funds actually went to those in need: oversight measures, limits on stock buybacks and caps on executive compensation.  Roughly $1.7 trillion allotted through the CARES Act was not, for the most part, subject to those restrictions.  Funds disproportionately went to the wealthiest corporations and individuals.https://time.com/5845116/coronavirus-bailout-rich-richer/

Who to blame?

Fundamentalists who at urging of Russia/GOP, attack and slander others in order to justify their exclusion of everyone else.

National Rifle Association, who accepted millions from Russians, lobbied against gun safety laws, thereby promoting violent acts (mass murders) in the United States.

Trump’s 100s of GOP extremists (fascists) & former Cabinet, who emasculated government agencies and used government funding for personal gain.

Tea Party fascists, who privatized U.S. land, commerce, health care, and education for pennies, while collecting 10Ms in profits.

Privatizers, who aided ICE in stealing children of immigrants and selling them; charging America $700/child/day storage fees.
